FitBit Friday!
Through the Church Health Initiative, Hannah and I have started a new wellness coaching program. 50 pastors and their spouses will have six zoom personal coaching sessions over a period of 12 weeks. This coaching will equip us with the right tools for our personal health and fitness goals. Each of us received a Fitbit Charge 4 to track our progress. I will be honest, I have never used a Fitbit before.
Every Friday on this blog I will highlight my runs, rides, walks, and activity in general. Remember, this was my first week, so bare with me as I learn how to use it. If you have some familiarity with this fitness tracker, I would love to hear your tips and thoughts. Here is a brief snapshot from the week:
Fitness is better when you tackle it with friends! A church friend and I started the week off with an 8 mile joint from Hardberger Park to loop 1604 and back. Thanks Tyler!
This is my normal 4 mile loop in my neighborhood. Fantastic weather on this Wednesday morning! 48 degrees with a light, misty rain makes for a fun run.
Really bummed with the tracking on these next two runs. The Fitbit Charge 4 just added a GPS feature. Somehow during the run the GPS feature did not kick on. I did choose that feature when I started the run and then each time half way through I was alerted that there was no GPS.
Still had a great run! I will work on the tracker!
Once again, bummed about the lack of GPS. I digress. Today and Thursday I got out and ran at 5:45am! Great way to start the morning. Wakes you up in a way that coffee cannot. I like to do early runs, but I highly suggest wearing lights and gear so that you can be seen in the dark. Till next Friday! Get out and go family!
