RUN STRONG. FIGHT HUNGER.

Each year in November The San Antonio Baptist Association (SABA) hosts a hunger walk to raise awareness and funds for food distribution programs in SABA churches. Texas has 1.3 million people who experience hunger daily. Texas has the highest food insecurity rate among children. “Bexar County's pre-pandemic rates of food insecurity were already hovering at about 14% in 2018. That number nearly doubled for public school families by spring of 2020.” (from an October 2020 UTSA article)

Many SABA churches operate food pantries to help and support their communities. For 11 years SABA has looked to encourage all to join in this effort.

This year we want to support, and we would like you, your family and church community to participate too! With the help of the Pastor Strong Initiative, TWP is very excited to announce that we will be hosting our first ever 5K Run/Walk! Last year we focused on encouraging all toward better physical health. The PASTOR STRONG 5K RUN/WALK will be a great way to celebrate the hard work everyone put in!
