MEND MARK
Mend:
To repair something broken
To free from faults or defects
To restore working order
To make amends or atonement for
A few years back I came across the website for Mend Mark. I am always looking for creative ways to assist in sharing and reminding us of God’s love. What I found in the Mend Mark wristband is so much more!
“The Mend Mark wristband is designed to resemble the nail scar of Christ. It features two circular disks that rest on each side of the wrist. When worn, these circles simulate the hole that was caused by the nail driven into the wrists of Jesus as He displayed the greatest single act of love the world has ever known.”
Mend Marks mission is one that I quickly got behind:
“OUR GOAL IS TO COMMUNICATE THE MESSAGE OF LOVE THROUGH THE SALE OF PRODUCTS THAT SERVE AS VISUAL REMINDERS OF THE GREATEST LOVER IN HISTORY.”
Today, I do not have my original wristband. When paying for a cup of coffee at a local shop, the barista asked me about what I was wearing around my wrist. I was given tho opportunity to share Jesus in that moment! I gave that wristband to the barista and encouraged him to wear the mark as a reminder that Jesus came to mend us all!
I encourage you to check out Mend Mark! As the Lent season starts this week (Ash Wednesday is March 2), wearing the mark is a perfect reminder for ourselves and a simple way to share the story of Jesus with those around us. Mend Mark equips us to:
Experience the experience
Tell the tale
Live for love
Make and impact
